![]() I think the VR user interface could be a little more friendly in a way similar to blocks even though verto studio does MUCH more than blocks, but other than that i think i get pretty much how everything else works and i get what you were going for and i can work within those parameters for what i want to do. also i wonder if this will work as a bridge edge loop tool? like if i have 2 sets of 4 verts running parallel to each other, and i selected all 8 and hit create new, would it create 4 new faces between the 8 verts? curious. if this is the way to create faces, edges, and vertices, i think more attention should be given to that in the tutorial and help file. ![]() I think i figured out that the "create new" button acts as a Fill Tool? for example, if i have two faces with edges that are only a short distance from each other, i selected the edges facing each other from the two faces that are seperated and pressing create new filled it. i could locomote myself to a good spot and then grip-grab the scene and rotate it around me while mainting it's y axis and/or being able to resize the entire scene in the same manner. i LOVE the teleport and fly locomotions because i can test how those same locomotions will work on my levels after i set it up in Unity. this is a pretty easy mechanic to implement and is very useful for moving the scene around me instead of moving me around the scene. When nothing is selected and i grip-grab on both controllers, it should rotate/resize the whole scene. The left trigger being used as a shift function could come in handy here as well, L.Trigger + R.up, L.Trigger + R.down, L.Trigger + R.right, L.Trigger + R.left could all be different hotkeys. So if i have 3 out of 10 vertices selected, i can press a hotkey to select all 10 and then press that same hotkey to deselect them all, ending with no vertices selected. having 1 button do a select all/deselect all boolean similar to how blender's shift+a works would be helpful as well. clicking undo on the menu every time i want to undo is pretty inefficient. maybe i missed it but i need an undo hotkey on the controller, it's pretty paramount. i see that select edge ring is an option and it would be great if i could create my own edge rings in one direction instead of subdividing, creating unecessary geometry. google blocks 3d model icon for the tool that you're using displays at the tip of the controller and the raycast comes out of it.Ĭut and loop cut tools. I have used google blocks quite a bit and one of the things that i like about google blocks that i feel like verto studio could took advantage of, is that their tools have an icon 3d model for the tool displayed somewhere letting you know at a glance to the controller, which tool is active. I may have missed it, but the thing that resonates with me the most after using the VR portion of Verto Studio for my first hour, is that the left controller trigger doesn't seem to be used for anything? it could potentially be used as a shift function on a keyboard to select multiple objects without the need to switch to the precision settings in the select tool.
